Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups dry ditalini pasta
  • 2 1/23 cups chicken broth
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/3 cup heavy cream
  • 34 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese (plus more for serving)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium-low heat, add olive oil and minced garlic. Sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  2. Add dry ditalini pasta and stir to combine with garlic.
  3. Pour enough chicken broth to cover the pasta, then add salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, cover, reduce heat to a simmer, and cook for about 9-10 minutes.
  4. Remove the lid, stir, and taste for doneness; some broth should remain but will absorb as it cools.
  5. Drizzle in heavy cream while simmering and stir for about one minute until well combined.
  6. Off the heat, mix in butter and parmesan cheese until melted into the sauce.
  7. Adjust seasoning if necessary, then serve hot.
