  • 2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray
  • Optional dipping sauces: caramel sauce and vanilla yogurt

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples by slicing them into wedges about 1/2 inch thick, removing the core and seeds.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar; set aside.
  3. Set up your breading station with flour in one bowl, beaten eggs in another, and panko mixed with half of the cinnamon-sugar in a third bowl.
  4. Dredge each apple slice in flour, dip it in the egg, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture.

  6. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  7. Serve warm, sprinkled with remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture alongside caramel sauce or vanilla yogurt.
